Ingredients –

  1. Cauliflower – 1 large (cut into medium sized flowers)
  2. Onions – 2 medium sized (Chop into small pieces)
  3. Ginger paste – 1 tsp
  4. Garlic – 10 flakes (chop into small and fine pieces)
  5. Maida(Plain flour) – 1 tbsp
  6. Corn flour – 1 tbsp
  7. Oil for frying
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Chilli powder – 1 tsp
  10. Green Chillies – 3 to 4(chop into fine pieces)
  11. Tomato Ketchup – 1 tbsp
  12. Aesofitida – 1 pinch

Preparation -

1) Heat Oil in a Kadai in low flame.

2)Mix maida, corn flour, salt and chilli powder in a vessel. Add little water, aesofitida and 1 tsp of oil and make it to a fine paste.

3)Dip the cauliflower pieces into the paste and fry it well. Keep the flame medium only.

4)Now, once all the cauliflowers are fried; put them on a tissue paper and keep aside. In another Kadai, heat 3 tsp of oil. When the oil is heated, add green chillies, garlic, ginger paste and onions and fry it well.

5)Once the garlic and onion is golden in colour, add little salt, tomato ketchup and make the mixture boil once.

6)Add the fried cauliflowers into the kadai and mix well in medium flame.

Serve it hot… Garnish the same with Coriander leaves if you enjoy the flavor…





French Potato Salad

Ingredients –

  1. Potatoes – 2 Big
  2. Onions – 1 Big (Cut into medium sized pieces)
  3. Sweet Corn – 100 grams
  4. Curd – 1/2 litre
  5. Cheese – 2 small cubes
  6. Sugar – 3 tsp
  7. Pepper – 1 tsp
  8. Salt to taste

Preparation –

1) Boil potatoes, peal and cut them into medium sized cubes.

2) Boil sweet corn until it becomes very soft.

3) Grate cheese and mix it well with curd. The curd should become little greasy.

4) Add salt, sugar, pepper, potatoes, corn and onions to the same and mix well.

5) Refrigerate the salad for 15 minutes to set before serving.

Alter – Can add spring onions instead of onions.





Bread Dahi Vada

Here is a dish to start on. . .

Time required -

30 minutes

To serve -

Ingredients –

1) Bread 8 slices (cut off the hard edges on all the four sides)
2) Pudina leaves (mint leaves) 1 cup
3) Tamarind Juice 1 cup
4) Jaggery 100 grams
5) Curds Half litre
6) Sugar 3 tea spoons
7) Salt to taste
8) Green Chillies 2 – 3 medium sized

Preparation -

Pudina chatni

1) Grind one cup of pudina leaves with the green chillies and little water.
2) Add salt to taste.
We can add 1 cup of grated coconut to it while grinding. However, in such cases the chatni would not last beyond a day.

Sweet and sour chatni

1) Add jaggery and 1 cup of tamarind juice in a kadai(vessel) and heat it until the whole jaggery added melts and mixes well. Keep stiring the chatni with a spoon when on gas.
2) Keep the mixure on heat for atleast 2 -3 minutes after the jaggery melts completely.

Dahi

1) To the curds add sugar and 1/2 tea spoon of salt and mix it well.

Finally

1) Take two slices of bread at a time and sandwich it with a layer of pudina chatni and sweet and sour chatni in between.
2) Put it in a cup and soak it with 2 tea spoons of water.
3) Put Dahi on the top of it until the bread sandwitch inside cannot be seen.
4) Decorate it with a sweet and sour chatni drops on the dahi.
5) Keep for 5 minutes before serving.
Repeat the same for the rest 3 cups also.
