Cooking is something I found interesting since I stepped into my high school. I did lot of experiments in kitchen since then. There are few things that I termed as my discovery in my cooking when I was a kid. Now that I have grown, I understand the fact that the world of cooking is never-ending and its a vast field. There is so much of good food that can be made in our kitchen. Also, I believe that eating right food with a right mix of variety, helps us lead a healthy life. So, my experiments in kitchen never stops.
Sometimes I wonder how I developed this interest? I think, I should give all the credit to my super cook mom. Observing mom do miracles in kitchen, have a fan club in neighbourhood, win lot of local competitions, etc …inspired me to get in there as well. My mom has the ability to cook anything and everything thats veg… with that extra class! Whatever be it, North Indian or South Indian… Chinese or Italian… we found it in her kitchen.
However, like most of the Indian things, lot of goodness is lost because of lack of memory or lack of documentation. Hence, I am trying to make a small effort in making a data base of Mangalore style of cooking and my general experiments. Hopefully you would love trying few of them yourself.
I would be glad to read your thoughts on the recipes or anything to do with food over here.
Happy Cooking!
